Hi everyone, I would greatly appreciate some advice:
My fiance and I are currently planning the full (family) wedding ceremony next year, but we have decided to have a court wedding (aiming for Oct) so that we can expedite the immigration application process. My biggest concern at the moment is that my fiance has a criminal record. He was convicted of a misdemeanor offense for trespassing (in the state of Alaska) 2014. He had to complete community service (I believe 72 hours?). As a basic description of the offense, he and a group of friends were having a fairly typical beach fire (with alcohol) on railway property. The police arrived to disperse the group and he was the one talking with the cops, after which he was arrested for trespassing (no violence or anything, but legally he was trespassing). I have looked it up and trespassing falls under a summary offence in Canada and it's his only offence.

I was wondering how this might affect our sponsorship application?
Do we have to provide additional forms or information (i.e. rehabilitation) so that it doesn't negatively affect our application?
What would your recommendations be for us, going forward?
