Hi all i need clarification regarding my work/activity history gap.

4 years back while submitting my PR application with an agent. There was a work period where i studying/unemployed back in home country .for example September 2021 to September 2022 was submitted as “ studying….at this institute”. They told me to combine the IELTs studying and my engineering studies into one period. Sept2021 to Sept 2022

Now that i am applying for citizenship application, i have few months where i was not studying and unemployed. feburary 2022-may 2022 was this period.

My question is should i breakdown all the studies/unemploye periods ( it counts towards my eligible presence period)or follow what i submitted in my PR application.

Any suggestions/help will be greatly appreciated

Not a consultant, just my take. For the citizenship application, be accurate and break it down. The citizenship form asks for your complete activity history, and it doesn't need to match your PR application word for word. IRCC understands that people provide more or less detail on different applications.

List your engineering studies as one entry, your IELTS study period as another if it was separate, and the unemployed gap (Feb-May 2022) as "unemployed" or "seeking employment." Leaving unexplained gaps is riskier than just being upfront about a few months of unemployment. It's completely normal and officers see it all the time.

The key is that your timeline has no unexplained holes. As long as every month is accounted for, you're fine.

Thanks for the response. I am just worried that IRCC will think I misrepresented information. I have the documents I submitted to my agent with accurate history. And she advised we combine them into one year period, I went along with it since I relied of her advice.
