Hello,

In 2008 I become a Canadian PR. I completed all my application and landed in Vancouver on an Immigrant Visa. I then received my Canadian PR. After 5 days I went back to the USA. I have not been back to Canada since.

My Canadian PR expires in April 2013. I am hoping to visit Canada on vacation in July 2013, the PR will have expired then.

Will I encounter any problems? I have no intention at this time of moving to Canada, just go on on vacation. Additionally, my Canadian Immigrant Visa is in an old passport, so it will not show up in my new Passport.

Thank you

If they figure out that you are a PR, they may ask you if you meet the residency obligation. They could report you for not meeting it which means they will still let you enter and give you 30 days to appeal for your PR. Or they might just give you a lecture. Or they might not say anything.
