Dear Members & Experts,

My query is w.r.t PR activation, a bit of background i.e. I am a COPR holder with spouse and child as my dependents also my COPR visa expires on 1st week of July 2020.
So considering the current COVID situation I do not want to risk my child with travel so we have decided to raise a webform for our chid alone stating that he will travel at a later date, however myself and my wife will be traveling and settling down in Canada before July 2020 (provided air travel resumes in my country). Once things have simmered down or after 6 months we will raise another webform for our child to bring him to Canada.

Is this doable ? or must all three members must travel to active our PR status.

Your inputs and suggestions are most appreciated.

Thanks.

Hey, I am also a COPR holder and my visa is granted from 20th Mar 2020. Am I eligible to fly because on cic.gc.ca I can see that people whose applications were approved before 18th or on 18th Mar 2020? Of course, my application was approved before that it is nowhere on the docs when my application was approved. All I have is a Passport request letter received on 16th Mar 2020. Please help.

Given the proportionate effects of COVID-19 on adults vs. children, it is safer for your child to travel than it is for you to travel. As you are able and will be travelling, there is no guarantee that IRCC will accept the child not travelling.

Hi
Thanks for your valuable feedback much appreciated.

Hey guys,

Although I was stamped my visa on 20th Mar 2020, and my COPR is valid from 20th Mar to 19th Sep 2020. It's already more than 2 months that I have been waiting to fly. All I want to know is that due to restrictions put on people who received COPR later than 18th Mar, Can I still fly under the Family reunification case as my husband is in Canada and a PR holder.
