we are sending in our husbands passport tomorrow is there anything else we need to include?
and what is a COPR?

You need to also include the other information requested in the PPR letter along with the passport. Normally this includes physical information about the applicant (e.g. eye colour, height) - and also photos. Make sure you review the PPR letter very carefully to make sure there's nothing additional that was requested.

we got an email we nrver actually got the letter yet. but we need to land befre jan 11th. can we still submit the passport as the email said without revieving an actual letter?

The instructions are provided in the PPR email as well. My husband also never received a physical letter (just an email). As long as you have the PPR either in email or physical letter format you are fine to submit the passport. However please do take a few minutes to read through all of the instructions provided to make sure you are including all of the necessary information.

thanks for replying, how long did it take to get your pasport back as he has to travel in 3 weeks .
this is all the email said btw, it dosnt ask for anything although i find that very strange as ive heard many people have to send in pictures.

Dear Sir,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

We are pleased to inform you that we will be ready to issue your immigrant visa as of January, 2011. In this respect, you are kindly requested to send us your passport by courier. Once visa issued, passport will be returned to you by DHL courier and you will be required to pay the courier fees to DHL representative.

Kindly note that your medical results are valid until 11 January, 2011.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Kelsey -

Unfortunately my husband's case doesn't serve as a good example of how long it takes to get the passport back. Since his processing office was Buffalo, he had the option of going in person to get the visa - and this is what he did. He arrived at the Buffalo office early on a Tuesday, had his visa by noon and had landed in Canada by 2pm the same day.

Hopefully others can help with providing you with some estimates on how soon your husband's passport will be returned.

Since the PPR email doesn't ask for any further information - then it doesn't look like anything further is required in your case!

thank you so much! i feel like i can breathe a little now lol. its all going way faster than we had expected
