After 4 months of my application being processed I've been asked to post a copy of my passport and a couple of photos. I hope I'm getting close to the end?

Anyone know how long after this a final decision usually takes?

If this was through a MyCIC message, it appears that you have got your PPR!

Please share your timeline, whether you are FSW/CEC also where did you apply from? Outside/Inside Canada.
 
not sure what I'm being congratulated for - I've only been asked to send in a photocopy of my passport and a couple of photos :P

Yeah the letter was through myCIC page. But at least it says "the processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. " and I have 30 days to send off the documents.

I hope this is good news.

Submitted my application april 28th.
Medical was passed about a week later
then heard nothing and no status updates since then until today's message

Applying under CEC and I'm already within Canada working

Why CIC Why! Sending PPRs only to the disbelievers! While the devout wait in unending queues... ;D

Please make sure you send the physical Passports and not just a photo copy along with biodata an photos.

Hi

The letter specifically states NOT to send my original passport, as I am from a Visa Exempt country.

You only need to send the passport if you are from a country that needs a visa to enter Canada

Pp holders of VISA exempt countries do not need to send their passports. Just bio data page and 2 pics
 
yup

photocopy of passport, 2 photos, a copy of the letter and a self addressed envelop was all thats needed.

Posted off today, so hopefully I will get some good news back :)
