PPR/ Submitting documents on MyCIC

My husband just got his passport request and needs to submit his photocopy to MyCIC since he's visa exempt.

He says he does not see an option on his account to upload any documents. Can anyone explain where it's found (maybe he's not looking properly), or if it takes a little for the option to appear after receiving the e-mail?

One more thing...

Where it says, "Your Permanent Resident document(s) will expire one year after the date of your medical examinations or earlier if your passport or the passports of your spouse or dependant children (if applicable) expire on an earlier date.".

Does that only apply if the spouse is an accompanying spouse? Also does he still need to add my info to Chart - Appendix A?
I'm not accompanying him to Canada. I already live here.
