PPR step 1 and 2

i have applied under FSW

can any one help me understanding;

1. what is step 1 and 2 in PPR.
2. how long it took to move to step 2 after step 1.

Hi all,

As from Pakistan you can not send the Passport out side so LVO ask for passport copies first (PPR 1) which suppose to go to UK and then at latter stage they will ask for Passports, Photos, and updated information chart (PPR 2) which should go to Isalamad Office. The time varies but mostly its 1 to 3 months...
