Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

I just got my PPR (yes!) and noticed that they request a passport valid for at least 6 months. I'm preparing the docs to send and now realize my wife's passport is just under that (expires July 17th, so 6 months and 25 days or so).

I'm thinking about sending it anyways. I would write a letter explaining that I'm aware of it but since we will be able to complete landing procedure before the passport expires, I will request them to issue the visa in the current passport with the same expiry date as the passport. Requesting a new passport would take long (more than 30 days).

Does anyone have any similar experiences ? Do you think this would be a problem ?

Appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Regards,

If it expires July 17, you have less than 6 months validity. AM I right? 5 months and 23 days. Better to inform CIC. I think they will give you time to renew her passport.

Hello,

Currently in the same situation. Did you send the passport anyways or you renewed it?

Let me know.

Thanks.

Inform CIC and proceed with renewal. There are multiple threads for the same.
