Hi all

Cpp-O sent me an PPR email so I sent it right away. My concern is do I have to include my old passport even though CPP did not ask for it? I'm a bit worried coz I did not include the old passport. What should I do?

The new passport is dated October 28, 2012 (the one I sent).
I applied for CEC January 2013.

Please help

The reason that they asked for passport is to stamp the permanent residence visa. In that case, your valid new passport will be required, not the expired old passport ;) So worries i guess:)

I would send old and new both. I suggest you better call CIC and confirm.

Which passport is quoted on your application? Did you change passports during the application process?

I renewed my passport prior to applying for CEC and that new passport is the one quoted on my application. Someone I know told me that I should have sent the old passport as well because it shows the stamp of my last entry here in Canada, that's where i got confused.

hi meo_02,
if i understand your post very well, your new passport was issued on october 2012 and you applied for CEC on january 2013 so i guess the informations included on your application are reflected to your new passport therefore you don't need to submit the old one and you should be fine.
good luck and start counting the days you have left until you officially become a permanent resident, you are almost there :)

just to add this, you don't even need to send the old passport if you changed it during the application process just informing them about the new one and sending copies of the biodata is enough.as for your last entry to canada they can see that in their database lol its all one government body(CIC).

Second this.
No data is held by cic on the old passport so sending it is pointless :)

Agree as well! If you updated them on the change, then just send the new one. It will be fine. Good luck! :)
