Hi,

Today I received PPR :) Inside they've mentioned that I have 30 days to submit my passport along with other details and then it would take them at least 4 weeks to return the stamped passport and CoPR. My medical expires on 10 July 2018.

Now my concern is that I will have very little time to book a flight (as I can't book until I receive CoPR) and to do all the preparation for immigration to a new country...

1. Can I request for an extended medical or CoPR, something like in September / October 18'?

2. If they can not issue an extension will asking for a redo of medical be a good option in this regard?

I would really like someone who had a similar experience to help me in this regard.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

They will extend your medical anyways.

How can you be so sure? What if I get the CoPR a week or two before medical expires?
It is very rare that IRCC issues a COPR with such a short validity. They will occasionally contact an applicant and ask if they can land within that timeframe; otherwise, they generally just extend the medical.

Thank you once again! Can you tell me how I can contact my visa officer? My visa office is London and I'm from Pakistan...

Hi,
Did you request for doing medicals again? How long was your Visa/COPR valid? Thanks.

Hi, did you send mail for the medical extension?

If yes, what was the response? I am going through the same dilemma. @canuck_in_uk any suggestion considering the current trend of IRCC?

Not really a trend. Generally, if you are in Canada or other low-risk countries, no new medical is required. If you are in a risk country, it is required.

I am from Bangladesh. Should I raise a webform requesting to extend my medical by informing my constraints?

Thanks for the suggestion.
No point. IRCC will decide themselves whether to extend or request a new medical. As Bangladesh is a risk country, expect another medical to be requested.

Hi @canuck_in_uk ,
I applied for extension and received re-medical requets. You were correct.
