PPR photo specifications

Hello All
i am a November applicant and got the PPR today.
I want to send the passport and photos today. As you all know the photo specification has changed from January and i wanted to enlarge the same photograph which was taken in November with the old specification. But the studio guy is telling me that if he enlarges the same photo it will not look good.
So my question is can i take a new photo and send it?

take a new picture with new specification.don't use the old one

the photo shouldn't be 6 months old , if they find it it will cause unnecessary troubles, get a new shot and print as per new regulations
