Had my wife applied as a spouse of a Canadian it would have taken 6 months. She wanted to apply on her own merits as a skilled worker, 2 years later she is now a PR. To everyone who filed their FSW application prior to June 26th, understand that there are Canadian's like me who think the system needs to be reformed. We had an election recently, and I voted for somebody who believed in immigration reform. Let me tell you that there are federal members of parliament who believe 2 years for somebody waiting on PR that has been working inside Canada and contributing taxes is not acceptable. I hope everyone who was in our situation hears something soon. If you merit being a resident of Canada, then you deserve to have your application completed in a sensible time frame and I apologize to you on behalf of all Canadians who don't understand why our system is the way it is.

Anon, congrats on your spouse PR, we pray and hope all works for good. i did my medical April and hoping to hear from CIC what was your spouse time line.
congrats. Dan

Congratulations to your spouse and yourself. Your words will create a great deal of optimism here. Thanks.

Cheers,
Rahul.

her application was sent apr 2009. Accepted aug 2009. Transfered to New York multiple times over the next year then medicals done and landing fee paid in december 2010. So 6 months after doing medicals with no acknowledgment from New York, she was accepted. New York office does not acknowledge receipt of any documentation and e-cas does not update properly.
