Hi,

I recently submitted my pr application for Express Entry. I had one year of foreign work experience that I needed in order to achieve my points.

My total hours of foreign work experience was around 2000 hours. This included part time and full time work for a particular company. On the work experience letter I submitted for this with my profile there are 2 periods of time where I have shown I was part time.

Upon some further investigation by checking back old tax forms (these are not submitted with my profile) I discovered that I actually worked slightly less hours than I specified in my part time experience.

This lowers my total hours of foreign work experience but it doesn't affect my points in an any way because I'm still well above one year of foreign experience.

My concern is that they ask me for further proof of my work experience with this company (i.e paystubs) and they see I have misrepresented my hours.

Am I worrying about this for no reason because it doesn't affect my points?

If I have reason to be concerned should I submit a Case Specific Enquiry with an amended letter along with paystubs etc?

Or should I wait and If they ask for more evidence of this particular work experience and I included a letter of explanation to say I slightly miscalculated my total part time hours but it doesn't affect my score, would it be acceptable?

Any advice would be appreciated.

In my opinion, you should raise a CSE stating you discovered a discrepancy and this should not affect the score but is just for their information. This does not hurt at all and leaves a record in their system saying that you did not intentionally changed the work experience hours.

I actually also made a mistake while submitting the proof of work letter with the incorrect headline.

I raised a CSE once I realized it. 2 months after landing as PR. I got a response from the CSE saying I sent the CSE to the wrong place and I should send the CSE to the PR processing office directly....

Duh~They didnt even look at the CSE, and accepted the letter anyway. If they didnt accept it, I still had a chance to argue that I have already submitted a CSE regarding to the issue and I was not intentionally misrepresenting anything.

Can anyone else give me some advice of what I should do? Should I withdraw my application? Or should I update my hours in my work experience profile by submitting a CSE and an explanation?
