Potential Adviser agreed to Supervise my MASc Program but with no fund/schol

Hi Guys,

My potential supervisor in Windsor university has agreed to supervise my MASc (Electrical Engineering) & has recommended my name to the department for admission. However, he also indicated that he cannot fund my MASc or provide any scholarship due to paucity of funds.

I have not replied him yet. Please provide your opinions whether should I request him to stretch & seek any scholarship/ funds available or simply thank him.

Is not MASc always (or in most cases) funded in one way or another?

No - it's not. Not even for Canadians.

If he's told you there are no funds available then you have his answer. If you want funds or scholarships, it will be up to you to find them.
