Awesome @C4P! Congratulations! How has your friend improved their second application compared to the first one?

First time Rejection was unexpected, as academic background, work experience, finances, IELTS etc., everything was in order and a detailed SOP was also written to support the application. The decision letter only had generic reasons, so GCMS notes was ordered from both IRCC and CBSA. CBSA notes arrived early and it had the detailed rejection reasons - looking at the reasons, realized the Visa officer did NOT even bother to ready the SOP and also made an assessment error on academic performance. Because of the GSMC notes , the first time refusal reasons were clearly know and a detailed strong LOE was written for second attempt giving reasons for choosing the course/college and prospects back in India and also clearly mentioning the error made by previous officer's assessment on academic performance. Guess this time the officer actually Read the LOE and made a decision.

That is wonderful @C4P! Thank you for your response It is always a sweet bonus when the IRCC officers make mistakes in their file assessment. That can give you a sort of advantage and edge to respond. At the same time, I also know how much work goes into preparing a strong SOP that can address all other officer's concerns. So, well done! Congratulations on your successful work and application!

In my case, officer's concerns were all legit without any mistakes and made total sense why they refused our first application. Our second application is drastically different from the first one in terms of SOP and documents, so we'll see how this one goes.
