Post ITA: Police verification

Hi,

I received ITA from 64th draw, wanted to check if I can apply for PCC from any PSK In India?
Actually, Suppose My hometown is X (where passport was issued) and I'm currently working in different state Y.
Can I apply for PCC at PSK at Y? or I need to apply at X?

Also, How long it takes for them to issue PCC normally? Do manual police verification takes place?

The process is easier if you live in the same address as your passport. Otherwise it will go into police verification where the PSK assigns it to the police station near where you live currently. For us, even though we live at the passport address, it went to police verification because we don't have spouse name endorsed on passport. It took about a month for us to get the PCC, mostly because of a local holdup.
Also, I don't think there is a restriction in which PSK you go to but I'm not sure.. I think 'Y' would be fine in your case because that's where you live now and the police there will be doing your check.

Anyone applying for the US PCC ? anyone from UAE ? Is there anyplace to go in Dubai for the same?

I stayed in australia for a period of 10 months though i am from india. i got a police certificate during the time i stayed in australia which is feb 2017, is this valid now as its not yet 6 months that it has been issued? or do i need to get one from the embassy again?
