Hi,
I am currently in Canada working for a Canadian IT company for a 1 year and 8 months on a Post Graduate work permit.
Unfortunately, my brother has just been diagnosed with cancer back home and I need to return home to help and be of support to him and the family during the treatment. My work has agreed that I can work remotely in my country for a few months to help with the situation. My question is, will the time I spend working remotely in my country still be considered Canadian Work experience as I am still a full time employee of this Canadian IT company or will it be considered foreign work experience?
I have submitted my application to Express Entry but do not currently have enough points to be invited to the pool. By next March, I will have 2 years full time continuous work experience in Canada and my points will now be a competitive 457 points. Depending on what the next few months will be considered, my trip home might need to be cut short.
Does anyone know what the experience will be tagged as?
Thank you
