Hi all,

Please help sign up for this petition. The voice of PGWP holder should be heard:

change.org/p/citizenship-and-immigration-canada-candidates-on-open-work-permits-and-working-in-canada-need-more-visibility-in-express-entry-system

This might not be much but we shouldn't just wait and do nothing.

It's crazy they do not recognize those that schooled here. Having said that though, are there any PGWP candidates that applied for express entry?

According to the news release of CIC, two of first bunch of people got PR in Canada under express entry were international student

"Zheng and Zhao were both international students who applied under the Canadian Experience Class. Zheng came to Canada from China and in 2012 she graduated in Supply Chain Management from Humber College. Today, she works as a dispatch logistician at DMA Logistics in Mississauga, Ontario.

Zhao also came to Canada from China as an international student and graduated in 2003 from Mohawk College in business accounting. Zhao is currently employed at Wing on New Group Canada, in Markham, Ontario."

Both are college students and for sure they got LMIA from their employer. CIC is very smart to pick out the LMIA holder of international student to make a case that PGWP actually have an "advantage" of being picked in EE and ignore the fact that 95%+ of the employer won't be willing to apply LMIA for a new grad. Well played, CIC

Well yea, because they probably got LMO under the old guidelines (it would count for 600 points), not LMIA under new rules and it's much easier back then.
