I am in my coop work term.
My coop sequence should be
Fall Winter Summer
Study Study. Off. Year1
Study. Study. Work. Year 2
Study. Work. Study. Year 3
Work Study. Work. Year 4
Study. Year 5

students are allow to take 3 or 4 coop work term.

However, I decided having summer off in 2nd year. I wonder if I will not be eligible for post graduate work permit since I took a semester off. I still maintain full time student till now.

If I get your question right, you didn't take class during your 2nd year summer session or you're supposed to take summer co-op and you didn't? Basically, if school are closed and you're not mandated by your program to take summer courses, you're good. Generally, summer break classes are optional, even most international students use the period to travel or work.

Do write a proper explanation when applying for PGWP. Get some documentation from university regarding voluntary nature of 1 coop . Attach that document with the explanation .
