Hi everyone,

I'm eligible to apply for a Post-graduate work permint, in the form IMM5710 under DETAILS OF INTENDED WORK IN CANADA
Once I slected the type of permit I want to apply: Post Graduation Work Permit
all the employer section has to be filled in to validate the form.

What should I write down on employer name, address, and specialy on Duration of expected employment????
to have an employer is not a requirement for a pots graduate work permit, right???

N/A is your friend. If that section doesn't apply (PGWP, it doesn't) just write N/A/

Hi,

I have the same problem, I call the international dpt of my uni and they told me there were some bugs my the form and they suggest i wrote something as "à déterminer" (to determine), so now I can valid the form (there is a section where you can add explanation documents, i used it to explain why i wrote that ie bug with the form, some quotations from CIC website indicated the post-diploma is open, etc.).

BUT when I save the document and when I try to load it on my cic it says thaht the PDF format is not correct or the wrong one oO whereas its CIC's pdf format..

Do you have the same problem as well ?

Same problem here! I cant even get the IMM5710 form from the official website (the only file showed up is a blank page with only the paragraph 'To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade....')! But i already have the latest PDF viewer installed on my PC! Then I searched almost every website to finally get a piece of the form, completed electronically, yet myCIC just wont accept. May I know what's the problem? :'(

Anyone has recently applied for a post-graduate work permit?

I'm trying to fill the IMM5710E form (2013-01 version), but it won't allow me to validate it if I do not fill in the "details of my prospective employer". As far as I understand, PGWP is an open work permit and does not require an employer. I tried to fill "n/a" but some fields do not apply (i.e., those with pull-down options like States/Cities/Dates...). Any suggestions/solutions?

1. You need a old (later) version of PDF, not the latest one.

Hi, I also have the same problem. And I filled N/A for most of the parts, but I am wondering how can we sign it electronically?

They will ask you to sign electronically later, when you'll have submitted all the documents

I had similar issues, even emailed cic but no response.
Then I found filled(sample) document on a univerisity's website.
You can check the "intended work" section in it. It was helpful.

1. Always use Internet Explorer for CIC online application.
