Post eAPR: Background check from "Not Needed" directly to "in Progress"

Dear all,

is this normal that my background check changed directly from "Not Needed" to "In Progress", on the way which my Medical was also passed?

I have heard conflicting stories.

Some say BCIP might indicate that PPR is imminent, while some say that some applicants could have one BCIP first -> NN -> BCIP again , before the actual PPR?

For CEC candidate, when your background check goes back to inprogress the second time, it's a great thing (most likely) as ppr is around the corner but nothing could be said with certainty. Still, you are lucky as your first steps are being processed faster than others. If the momentum continues ( and they don't find any discrepancies or security issues), u may be processed sooner.
