I am requesting all guys who applied after 26th JUne to CIO under FSW category with New Delhi VO to gather here...Here we all can share our experiences, doubts, worries about CIO & New Delhi VO applications....I applied in August....so process has started...come on guys

Hi drgladiator,

Count me in :) My huby is the principal applicant and under the NOC 2151. We are planning to file our application by the first week of September, which is when we get the IELTS results :). We are from Chennai.

Where are you from and under which NOC are you applying?

Please could you also provide your updates to the below thread as well? It is very similar except that it is universal.

Thanks,

thanks Indira for joining this thread..

New Delhi VO checklist mentions----

For you, your spouse or common-law partner:

•Transcripts: original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in university-sealed envelopes.

I have applied under FSW post-26 JUne 2010....Do i also need to send my spouse's Original Transcripts to CIO & VO New Delhi....?
or Only principal applicant's Original Transcripts are required?
I have sent only mine notarised transcript to CIO and attested copies of my spouse's marks cards....
hoping to hear from veternas of this forum...thanks

Hope this helps :)

EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS
For you, your spouse or common-law partner:
•Post-secondary education documents: vocational or technical certificates or diplomas;
Notarized copy of diploma/ certificates along with transcripts, if possible in institute sealed envelopes

•College or university documents: certification of completion and the graduation degree, diploma, or certificate issued by the college or university and the evaluation committee;
Again notarized photocopies of the degrees/diplomas/certificates, if possible in college/university sealed envelopes

•Transcripts: original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in university-sealed envelopes.
Again self explanatory, all transcripts in university/college sealed envelopes

•Professional qualifications certificates: notarized professional qualifications certificates should be submitted if available. (e.g., Engineer, Computer Programmer, Accountant, Economist, Translator/Interpreter, Architect etc.)
This one is not a degree, as it is already covered in the above statements, but the professional qualifications/licensed, example - If someone claims he is an architect, he will obviously have to have a 5 years bachelors degree B Arch., but he will need an extra license and registration to practice as an architect in India(same may apply to other countries too), in case of a doctor, he will obviously have a 5 year MBBS degree, but must get a license/registration to practice medicine. In these cases, it is the registration certificate with the Council of Architecture or Indian Medical Council. If it is IT or other industry related, people may have some extra professional qualifications like certification in Oracle/SAP, CA kinda organizations which add value to their profiles. These documents/certificates must be photocopied and notarized and included in the application.

So, incase you are claiming points for your spouse's education as well, it is mandatory to get documents in a similar manner. Else, your application will risk a return :(

Just heard last night that an application was returned for not submitting birth certificates, although i know more than a couple of guys getting PR without even having a birth certificate. Looks like they are using every opportunity to return the applications these days ans we just cant afford not to send few optional documents :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

thanks Indira for reply...My Question is----Do i need to send NOTORISED marks cards OR ORIGINAL transcript of spouse's masters degree(not professional one) to New DElhi VO in next 2-3- months...?
I have sent to CIO,notarised copies of marks cards of spouse's masters degree & NOT original university-envelope sealed transcript?
I have sent only notarised copy of my(principal applicant) MBBS transcript to CIO...
Have u sent ur ORIGINAL university envelope sealed transcript (summary of marks cards of ur degree issued by ur college/university)?

Q#2________________
Do we nned to send to CIO and New DElhi VO the experience letter of the spouse ???
'
New DElhi VO checklist says--WORK EXPERIENCE:For you and your spouse or common-law partner:
•notarized employment contracts from your present and past employers, accompanied by an English or French translation
•original and up-to-date letters of reference from your past and current employers.

Q# 3:

I have got bank certificate of my savings balance as proof of funds. Can i utilise money from savings balance now ( that is, before my file number is issued by CIO)?
Will my file be rejected if VO calls the bank and finds that i have used the bank balance by withdrawing money from saving account?
Or is it better(safe) to keep all the funds required as proof of funds till i get my PR visa?

Hello drgladiator,

1. Original transcripts are never to be sent to the CIO/VO. You must send only the photocopies notarized/attested from the corresponding university inside the university sealed envelopes. This is common for both you and your spouse. You should have sent them out with the original CIO application if it was post 26 June 2010, as they have very clearly mentioned All the documents mentioned in the CIO checklist and VO checklist must be sent with the initial application to the CIO, else applications will be returned. In case they feel your application is too strong to be returned, you will be asked for the missing documents for your spouse(very unlikely). It is unclear if we need to submit another set of documents to the VO again after the AOR as of now. In any case, the only document not to be submitted with the CIO is the PCC (which is still debated to send or not to send). YOU MUST HAVE SENT ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS FOR BOTH OF YOU WITH THE INITIAL APPLICATION TO CIO.

BTW, we are still gathering documents and will send the application by 1st week of September.

2. Yes, you should have sent ALL the employment reference letters for you and your spouse(at least the notarized ones) to the CIO.

3. Better not to touch the funds until u get your PR stamped, but i guess it's OK to use them before you get your AOR, although it's risky. You never know when they check for the funds with the bank(unlikely to check before the AOR).

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hello indira_prab,
I think they have specifically mentioned to send the original transcripts for New Delhi VO. This is to verify the authenticity of the degrees as the VO has discovered that the transcripts sent were not genuine. Please let know if i am wrong because I too have sent my original transcripts, and I am really worried abt it as they are the only originals. God knows what I have to go through to get another original copy.

Thanks in advance.

Dear all,
I have applied in NOC 2121,my application was received on 16th August...and my VO is Newdelhi
its strange to see that people are getting application back without birth certificate.....
anybody who applied after 26 june without Birth certificate please do inform here...so that we can cross check the issue...

regards,

Hello Nitroxn,

I'm very sorry, but you should not have sent your one and only originals to the CIO, unless they specifically email and ask you to send the original degree and transcripts, to verify them(this may happen in the later stages of assessment in case they have concerns about the genuineness of the transcripts supplied earlier).

In the ND VO checklist, they have mentioned original transcripts in university sealed envelopes, yes, but this means any transcripts coming from the university are considered to be originals. Usually in some countries, the university people print out a new consolidated transcript for all years of study together and put them in a university envelope and seal it against the back of the envelope to ensure the cover is not tampered with. But in India, universities are reluctant to do the same and all they do is ask the students to photocopy their original transcripts and degrees and then they attest them against verifying the originals. Then they will put them in an envelope and seal it at the back as required. If this process is followed, the transcripts inside the sealed envelopes are as good as originals.

All you can do now is get a set of university sealed transcripts(if you have a photocopy of them, you can try your luck with the university), and send it to the CIO explaining you sent the actual originals by mistake and request them to send the originals back to you.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Dear Indira,

I am also confused on transcripts.

My university shall send the originals in a sealed envelope directly to CIO or VO. So, what should I send with the initial application?? Just notarized copies of degree certificates and marksheets ??

Thanks

Hi GUR2010,

No way you can get the documents sent out to the VO/CIO separately. You will have to convince the university guys to do this, or just follow the process that i mentioned below. Get clear photocopies and ask them to attest each page. It's a simple attestation and you will have to produce the originals for verification. Then you put them in a cover and seal the cover in front of them. Then ask for a university/department seal on the back side to ensure the cover is not tampered with. You are done :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Thanks Indira,

I was thinking to avoid this exercise and send just notarized copies of all the mark sheets without university envelopes but seems CIO needs only such reasons to reject applications.

Best Regards

Yes, we cant afford to make minor mistakes like this :(

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
