Possible to apply for PR with an indefinite contract?

Im working in Canada since Jan 2016 on a work permit for which the employer has got an LMIA. I was on a fixed term contract before but now ive received an indefinite contract. Does this mean i will get the 600 points for my PR application? Whats the best time for me to apply for a PR for myself and my spouse who holds an Open Work Permit?

No - you won't get the 600 points with an indefinite contract. To get the 600 points, the letter from your employer needs to state that the job is permanent.
