I recently came across this page on Saint Francis Xavier University's website. Is this actually possible? Cos if it is, I think a lot of us international graduates will be celebrating. Here is the link to the page:

Appreciate your inputs on this
A PGWP can only be extended if when it was issued the applicants passport had an expiry date earlier than the expiry date that the PGWP could have been issued for.

So applicant applies with a new passport but the PGWP extension will still only be to the validity as though had been issued with the initial application, so if should have been 3 years will still be 3 years max.

The link is totally misleading

Agreed with the above. Extensions are only possible if the PGWP wasn't issued for the full duration due to passport expiry. Nothing to celebrate - there have been no changes to the rules.
