My father landed in Canada in the year 2008 as businessman under investor class category and then was busy to accumulate fund from abroad and for that he was travelling frequently accompanied with my mom. He spent almost 30 months outside Canada out of his PR card validity of 5 years.
Unfortunately he could not find a suitable job because of his age (Presently 66) and also could not set any business in past two and half year in Canada.
Now his PR card renewal is due but he has a kind of fears that he has no evidence of job or business done in Canada so CIC may disqualify him for not having income in Canada or payment of tax.
Can anyone guide us weather he will be able to get his new PR card without any income or tax payment to Canada Revenue?
He has purchased a new home from the fund he brought with him. Also being his only son I came to Canada in 2000 and studied and have my job and also holding Canadian Passport.
