Hi folks,
I'm a Canadian man and have met my, hopefully, future life partner in the Philippines. We would like to be together here in Canada but she was previously married to an American.
We met in January 2015 and I've traveled back to see her 3 more times, each visit was for 3 weeks.
We want to be together and so we started the annulment process, in October 2015. Unfortunately this has been dragging on and on, including finding out the attorney had been lying to us as to what steps he had completed!
We tried doing a TRV, through friends, (as we'd heard it'd be a flat refusal as we're romantically connected), and it was denied anyways.
I was thinking of trying another TRV. This time stating that I'm inviting her and will be complying with all rules and laws making sure she returns by the specified date.
The other thing is we thought about trying a 'Conjugal Visa'. She was only married for a few days and that was over 7 years ago. We've had 4 visits together including the original time we met. We've never missed a day chatting, texting, video messaging.
