My hubby has never been to Canada so it will be his first for everything .

WOW! It will all be so new for him. Canada is such a wonderful place. Plus Caledon is close to Brampton and so many west Indian places, at least he will have lots of Trini friends!

Exactly ! That's what I told him too, at least he won't feel too out of place.
I know he will love it but it will take some adjusting.

I was looking at the Kingston forum for people coming over from Jamaica and it looks like the overflow is going to POS. I hope our files still get process accordingly.
I keep checking on line... I honestly think I am going crazy. : ???

Hey nope not yet been 3 weeks now since friday but i realise most ppl had to wait a month before they got it back though. Should be soon hopefully this week for both of us since we sent it the same time and same country lool

They changed the process for sure this year. I don't think they've mastered it yet in terms of communication to the applicants and E-cas though lol

Before, Canada would do all the checking in terms of documents from both ends and would let you know before file is transferred if anything is missing. Now Mississauga just looks at the sponsor material (I guess that's how they have been able to speed up processing times) and then the VO in which ever country are to check PR applicant material and communicate with them if further documentation is needed. Makes the wait more nerve racking for sure.

Mississauga does check your document before they send it off because i left out the family sheet and they sent back my entire package to resubmit.

Trust me your just being an amazing wife who wants her man lool! But yea my country is all over the place thee days no wonder POS has to help them too but it all depends on which officer is handling your file cus some of us has different times for the sames things like how long it took for AOR and passport etc...

Well ladies looks like we are all waiting!
I found the same thing at Thursdays seem to be the date for updates. Fingers crossed I hear something this Thursday. That will be 39 days... I wonder how long it really takes to transfer files to another visa office. At work it takes a couple of days to go from one location to the next? I guess that is for a private business though, a little different.

I am always hopeful. It is really stressful being apart though, sometimes we get into silly arguments about nothing. We get frustrated not being able to be together like "normal" people. Can't wait till we get to be in the same house and eat dinner together like a family.

Its the small things in life that mean the most. In the meantime, I am still checking our status! Haha!

Thanks so much .
Really and truly you two will be in my prayers, I really was expecting you to get good news before me .

Honestly last night, I checked E-cas and it didn't say anything except "application received".
Then I said okay, let me check hubby's email and that's when I found out.
He did not receive a letter.

Then this morning when I checked E-cas the status changed to "In Process"

Try not to freak out too much ! Have faith <3

Oh I had no idea. I remember calling in and asking them and they said they don't look at PR Applicant's documents. Dunno... But that's easier than then transferring the file then sending it back to your spouse in the foreign country for documents... I think.
