Good morning Forum,
Natley yes let him fill out the B4 forms with the stuff he has in his suitcase. I did but they never asked me for any of my forms when I went to immigration. They just took my immigration declaration card and they just asked what dairy products I had and that was it. Then i went downstairs to collect my luggage and onto my connecting flight to Montreal

Should hubby filled out the B4 form if he's only travelling with 2 suitcases, and nothing to follow after he lands?

Thanks

@ baijeinwaiting, thank you!

What about your driver license? Did you transfert it, or you redid the computer and road tests?

If he has a bajan license then he could use it for 6 mnths before doing the test. I have not done mine as yet as I'm back in B'dos sorting some tuff out, but will do that once i get back there.

MP is Member of Parliament. They can make an inquiry on your behalf

i get it, and how would i get an MP involve

I haven't been through the process, so I'm not super familiar with the details. Just search the forum, lots of people have done it and shared their info. There may be something on the CIC website as well.

Hubby will land in Montreal tonight! I could not sleep later than 6am this morning... It will be a long day but with such a rewarding ending.

Have a good day, and thanks for all the infos shared.

Congratulations Natley

I just heard that now St. Vincent will have to have a visa to enter Canada. If he is in Canada at the moment and will be applying for an extension, how do you think this will affect him. Should he apply for one from within Canada now, as he is scheduled to leave Jan 9,2013 if we do not get the extension. We were going to apply for the extension in Nov after our wedding.

You are correct. Unfortunately St Vincent and St Lucia now needs the visa for travel to Canada

Greetings everyone,

Hope all is well.

@ Nigea If he's currently in Canada, he may not need a visa to apply for an extension as he's already on Canadian soil. I'm pretty sure he can file for an extension. However, if he leaves Canada and wants to return, he will definitely need to apply for the visa.

@MelanitaBonita An MP is a Member Of Parliament. He/ she can make an inquiry on your immigration file in instances where the processing of your file exceeds the processing times of the designated VO. An MP cannot speed up or slow down the processing of your file but they sure can bring it to the attention of the VOs. You need to write to your MP basically stating you haven't heard from the VO in reference to your husband's file and that you both are eager to start your lives together... that you have been waiting almost x mths and haven't gotten updates from the VO....etc. Just simply state your queries. My hubby emailed our MP. I believe @Can4Vincy stopped by her MP's office.

thank you so much, so i would write to the deputy of my city? is that what you mean by member of parlement?

Hey @Morlon, it's been a while. Thanks for the update and yuup your wife is lucky she doesnt have to go through the visa route for now. So many little changes are taking place unexpectedly with immigration.

Blessings always!!!!!!

Thanks Admirable

I
We are now considering inland due to the new visa rule and the fact that he really does not want to leave Canada. Do you know if he needs to apply for extension or just send in PR application before visitor status expires? I believe gets implied status if appyling inland
