Hope is all that gets us through this process, so more than happy to pass some on!

From what I understand, CL processing times are the same as marriage, so I don't see them purposely delaying your file for that reason. Having said that...CL couples are certainly subject to more scrutiny that married ones, hence why the burden of proof is larger, so if a CL application hasn't dotted all i's n crossed all t's, there could be delays due to requests for additional documents, etc. But if you've prepared and sent in a strong case, there should be nothing to worry about :)

Greetings everyone,

Hoping all is well.

@Bajeinwaiting I'm in Finance.

@Mysticscher I'm not looking forward the cold at all. Brrrrrrrr and it's already starting to nippy.

For those correspondong to CHC-POS, I think you should stick to CSEs. Unless it is an urgent situation such as not receiving your passport when it's supposed to be included in the shipping package, then i strongly suggest phonecalls. Even though POS doesn't respond to all CSEs, they receive ALL of them in that inbox. However, they ignore our messages because to them what may be important to us, may not be important and urgent to them. I certainly hate that about them but that's just the way they operate. I do understand in fact that they can't respond to everyone but I wish all applicants can get timely updates on files instead of waiting months and months on end for some vague correspondence on E-CAS.

:) always happy to support a fellow forum member. And I know how that final stretch can seem like an eternity. It's so close, you can almost taste it, and you just want it to all be over. We already said this month, waiting for my husband to get his PP back is gonna be the longest one yet. Just keep looking to the future...one day, this will all be a distant memory and we'll laugh with our loved ones about how CIC and POS made us fighting mad. But you know what? Although it doesn't seem that way now, I think this is a really special experience for everyone who goes through it. This process builds your relationship like nothing else can, and I am sure this bond is gonna get our marriages through hard times in the future, or maybe even give us the insight to avoid them. We've got a secret weapon now ;)

One thing is getting me confuse. On e-cas it's says application received at CIC and medical result received.

However for the phrase saying application received = application in process and the phrase for medical= decision made....

What should I think? Anyone have an idea....

Thanks

Hey everyone,

Admirable I'm in finance as well. Did your job require you to be fluent in french? I'm not as fluent as i would like to be so that's why i'm starting to refresh myself.

I hope everyone is doing okay. Guys hang in there. Hope you get some good news before the week ends.

Smokie how are you doing?

Hi all

Hope everyone is having a great day and hopefully POS will get a move on and send some more peeps to thier loved ones.

@Bajeinwaiting, I'm doing good, not working as yet, but not really actively seeking employment as yet. The wife and I were talking yesterday and she seem to think that after the summer holiday the jobs market becomes a bit easier, so I'm getting things in gear to bombard some business later on. Also I may have to return home late September for a business appointment.
