Just wondering i sent an e-cas a month ago to change my adress an nothing as been done from POS ... Is this normal??? Just thinking...

I sent a E cas email too, 2 months ago and no responce or changes made so far....guess nothing changes until the agent is actualy working on the file.
Im really getting a little depress with this process...no news for so long and nothing moving..its getting harder to stay positive.
Come on POS stop snoosing and close my case!!! Close lots of cases please!!!!

Unfortunately with CIC and in particular POS, that is completely normal. We sent them an email almost a month ago and haven't heard anything either! Also it's summer now, so they're likely short staffed, even more delays

Good morning all. It's ben a little while since I have posted but was catching up with the postings from everyone. Hope there is good news soon for those of you still in the queue waiting on POS.
Received my drivers' licence this week and I have now completed my registration for OHIP. This should now be in force from Sept 12.
Bajeinwaiting, you should soon be landed, wishing you a safe journey to Montreal.

yes next week is my time. I'm glad you;re settling quite well. What's was the process for getting your drivers licence? I forgot to ask how it went with immigration during your landing? Just want to know if it will take sometime as i have to connect through there to go to Montreal.

It's the weekend and no news from POS from anyone here, seems like they have gone to sleep..COME ON MAN...send some more folks home...

Hoping some of you get some good news today. i have a friend who applied since December and no news yet. Application received is the status still.

@ Bajeinwaiting i exchanged a UK drivers licence for an Ontario one. Remember I used to live in London? Well I just went to then, paid $75 dollars, did a sight test, surrendered my UK drivers' licence and that was it. I do not know if they would accept a Bajan licence tho.
The landing was easy, mine was done in about 5 mins. Just taken aside and asked a couple of questions and signing the COPR.
Come on POS, send someone(s) to their lovely family

Good afternoon everyone...well I seriuosly beleive POS is trying to drive me insane. Two weeks of meds received (the kids) and my husbands expires in less than 4 weeks. My MPs office is all over it but still this waiting is making me crazy Im pretty sure Im one of the last 2010 applicants and truly think its time!!

Thats my venting...lol.

Well, sorry to hear it is taking them so long for your file too...i need to ventilate too!!! Why o why can they just reply an email??? Just a little reply that say yes, we know...we are now at this or that stage...you can expect an final decision in the next days or month...what ever just to make us feel like they do care and that something is moving.

Im going coucou, feeling like im living my life in stand by...

Well you're definately not alone there....I said the same thing to hubby last night. Feeling like Im completely stuck in this moment with no option to move on and improve this life we want and deserve.

Trust me guys, we're all in the same boat. Just a few minutes ago, I was having this conversation with a co-worker, because she just couldn't understand why the process takes so long, and why we are all left in the dark through most of it. The harsh reality is that immigration is viewed as a privilege and not a right or an essential, and as such, they are "doing us a favour" by letting us bring our loved ones to join us. And as we all know, "beggars cannot be choosers", and that is pretty much the way we are viewed - we beg to the powers that be to bring our families here, and they graciously grant us a favour and make it happen. But, as with all favours, it is done on the grantor's time and we take what we get as we get it. That's the unfortunately reality of immigration. Sucks doesn't it

Since we're venting.. we STILL have not sent off our PR application because we decided to try for a visitor visa first (better chance if there is not a PR application in progress).. They state that their average time for a complete visitor application is 10 days.. we're WAYYY past that now and since our trip was to be in a few days, we won't be getting our visa (approval or not) before we were supposed to go to Canada

Might as well just send off the PR application.. guess we should have just sent it in the beginning and not had hope that they could do something within the time they advertise

Bummed.

On a lighter note, the application is all prepared for the most part... so the "hard part" of sending it off will be over.. then its just the loong wait.

Hoping for good news for SOMEONE soon.
