Thank you for adding us to the spreadsheet Miss Dominica. My side of ECAS as sponsor, was updated as of today to "decision made" (sponsor approval only), even though we got the CIC e-mail notice of this last week. It will be interesting to see what happens as our application goes through the POS office.

**BUMP**

What's going on here? We're halfway down the SECOND page!!!

Hope everyone has a blessed weekend!

Reply to: Millslu & Miss Zouk re: POS Office, Trinidad and Tobago

Hi folks and thanks for the advice. It helps to hear the input. I would not contact my MP yet, it is too early and so far things have been processed efficiently at this end in Mississauga. What I would have a problem with would be waiting 18 months to find out if there is a problem, that could have been rectified sooner in the process.

From everything I have read, it seems reasonable to expect that within 3 months (hopefully?) POS VO or ECAS or even by calling CIC, I would at least know that the package was received and logged at POS office. Being patient......well what choice have we all got really? I pray a lot, for us and others going thru this. It can really only be understood by those walking in our shoes...blessings to all

Well, it's almost 8 months for me... I'm trying to be patient but I'm not doing so well. This Saturday will be the 8 month anniversary of when my app was received at Mississauga... it's been just over 4 months since I got AOR from POS.

It's driving me crazy.. I feel so proud of myself when I can actually put it out of my head for a few days and not think about it... and then I expect some reward when I check my email or e-cas (a big SURPRISE - IT'S HERE)... but it's always just the same... nothing.

My medicals will expire at the end of next month... I REALLY don't want to pay for him to get those done again and I doubt they will respond to a CSE about extending them.

Ughhhhhhhhh.

Well, hopefully soon. ???

Hope all is well with everyone.

hi @missd i know its hard, it seems like you trying my method of ignoring the forum, e-cas and everything and hoping that you get a surprise, worked for me,lol but u know what if u dont hear anything by this month it may mean that you might not get an interview, and you will get your PPR in the 10 month period, so smile at that, but to bad for the medicals, i might have to do mine because am sure if after the interview in may, my medical expired late june, and they have to do the ARC which should take two months again from may. do you think they will extend it for me or will i have to do it again? My wife is breaking down already and i told her its almost comin to an end at least we have something to work with. anyways just keep strong missd. we have cookies if u want any oh and milk.

Milk and cookies would be lovely! They will hopefully extend it for you... just make sure you send them an email to remind them when it expires and ask if you should re-do or wait for extension.

**Fingers crossed**

Hi all,

Anyone had experience with getting a response from POS when sending CSE? Or is it better to send an inquiry through their general email?

Technically, I don't think they're supposed to answer general emails which ask about specific cases/applications. CSE is for that purpose. I, however, have never received a response to a CSE. I believe some people have though. It's a little bit luck and a little bit to do with your application (ie. Applications that are almost done or being worked on or where information has been requested from the applicant tend to receive responses faster as the application is being actively worked on. Those that are still in line to be looked at sometimes don't get responses as the officer hasn't really looked at the file much so does not want to answer questions about its details yet. That's my theory anyway).

Try the CSE. Even if they don't reply, they will make a note of it on your file.

Thanks MissD,

Oh man where is everyone?

I know!! I think everyone on this forum has already gotten their visa or is in the land of the 'depressed and sick of waiting without word'.

It used to make me sad when I would check every day and not hear anything... But I've finally gotten to a spot where I'm just MAD. I know I don't have the "right" to be mad already as I am still within normal processing times and many have been waiting longer than me. But it just frustrates the crap out of me that they don't answer CSEs, they work so slowly, and there's nothing we can do to even figure out where we are at in the process. I could scream!

Anyway, the only blessing is that school keeps me busy enough to not be crazy ALL the time... Sigh.

I think you have every right to be mad, Miss D. And I know EXACTLY how you are feeling. :-*
