Completely in heaven having hubby home for the past week. We just got word that the forms weve been waiting on to complete our file have been sent.

Question: does anyone know if requesting CAIPS/GCMS notes affects the processing of your file? I know requesting the whole file can slow it down, but what about just the notes by email?

Just the notes does not interfere with your processing, as what you are requesting is already available in GCMS.

That's what we were hoping, thanks for confirming. Do you know if the officers at POS will be able to see that we've requested them?

Yes, they probably will be, as this is an "event" in the life of the application and will likely be noted. I doubt it will count for anything, we requested ours and got them, and that was the end of it.

@Zouk I've read that CAIPS/GCMS notes do not slow down the processing of your app. However, FOSS notes do as it's the entire file being pulled out of storage.

On Friday, I spoke to the rep at the VO. A couple days to process the RPRF and then I receive my pp, refund and birth certificate among other things.

Looking fwd to some wonderful updates this coming week. It's also the start of a new mth so POS make us happy. Send out the pprs.

Thanks for the info guys! We want to request them just for our own knowledge you know, but again, we are still relatively early in terms of timelines, and just don't want to do anything that could slow it down.
