Thanks Everyone!!! We are super excited. I just got back from visiting him yesterday :D

Zouk Princesse - we did not get an AOR from POS and our status never changed on ECAS. The email was the first time we heard from POS.

Small update on our end. Nothing quite so exciting as a PPR, but we sent in a CSE last week, asking for confirmation that our file had been received as we had not heard anything from them, and we received a reply this morning saying that our file had been received for processing. It's a small step but hey, we'll take it :)

Congrats...I'm nervous about mine landing too. But still so happy for you after such a wait!

Not at all. Keep calm and carry on MrsLWSN. We all agree to disagree.
I see that things were said but truthfully, you guys will eventually get past it. Do try to keep things positive in this forum. We're all here for support and information.

@ Can4Vincy You deserve it and more...

@ Jerrynyc You don't always get an AOR from POS. Normally, it is received by the applicant 3 mths after the file x-fer to the VO. I received mines almost 10 mths after and that's because I begged for it. Check out our s/s. Click this link http://goo.gl/QQw3i

Dear Applicant,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

I am pleased to advise that your application appears to be ready for a final decision and visa issuance. The final decision can only be made when you have met the following requirements:

Methods of payment

Trinidad and Tobago: You can deposit the fee directly to the High Commission of Canada Account at any Scotiabank branch in Trinidad and Tobago. You will specify that you are submitting payment for the Right of Permanent Residence and you will receive a receipt indicating that. The deposit can be made in TT$ as the bank will convert the local currency at the time of the deposit. The bank will charge a small fee for this service.

Guyana: The fee can be paid at the High Commission of Canada in Guyana. Payment must be with a certified bank draft in Canadian dollars payable to the “High Commission of Canada” and must be drawn on a Canadian bank.
