Yep, things are really moving on in KGN. POS seems to be slower at most times. The end on this month is end of the quarter, so maybe things will start moving a bit faster for them.

Is anyone sponsoring a spouse that does not currently reside in their country (island) of birth?

Agreed Smokijoe...POS is slacking. Our last letter from them said that our file was ready for finalization and yet...we wait!

Good morning folks. We have to remember on average POS has a faster processing time. I think part of the reason for the disparity is that their forum has more members to show results for. The waiting is hard as hell and it would be easier if they provided updates and actually do what they say they are gonna do, but of course they will not do that...sigh. Can4vincy, I don't know how you do it, almost a yr after your interview and you are still waiting. My heart goes out to you as I was stressing after 2 months passed, just know that everything happens for a reason and your reunion will be only sweeter after all this wait.

any1 knows abt ARC processing time????

Good Morning Forum Family

@ Yug Nope! We don't know. Contact the top members of this forum (Leon, PMM Scylla etc)

@ Can4Vincy Send them a CSE. Put urgent at the very top. KGN is bound to be quicker as POS serves many many more islands in the Caribbean. They clearly have more work to do. Even the medicals from KGN go to POS.....Smh.

Praying for quicker progress on our files. We've been apart from our loved ones for way too long now. Let's goooooo POS.

Hi Forum friends,

I'm so fed up right now..we sent off our app. We have been approved, still have no letter from CIC Miss..We need the letter so thatw e can apply to Quebec for CSQ. My husband has been calling and calling. They said to him this week that it takes 3 months to process a request for another letter. They never e-mailed it either.I'm trying not to get depressed since I'm seeing so many people approved and visa issued. I don;t even know if my file is in POS office sitting down.

Congrats to thos e who have been approved and visas issued..I continue to wait and wait..don;t know what else to do

Landing Story
So, I am officially a permanent resident. My flight leaving Trinidad left late because a passenger had a panic attack before take off and had to be escorted off the plane. Can we say Final destination moment? Anyway it was interesting flight as my neighbor had a lot of conspiracy theories to share. Unfortunately I was one of the last to leave cuz I was at the back of the plane. I went to the line where you declare what youre bringing told them what I had and was directed to go to immigration in order to land. The officer dealing with immigration asked me a couple of questions about my file, actually they were more than I expected and finally asked me to sign the COPR doc in three places. When I was finished he said that was it and I could go collect my bags. I did not get a welcome to Canada package! At customs they took my KFC, lol it was so funny, the people behind me where prolly like "those ppl and their fried chicken." And that was it for landing. I came out and saw my darling, no sappy stuff till we got home. I feel so happy and blessed to have the man I do. Now that this business is over we are just excited to move on with our lives. I got two hits already for jobs, got my SIN number and changed my name on drivers license. Next steps are graduating, buying a house and expanding our family. Hubby says hi, and thanks for the advice.
