@ Admirable They are so wutless! I think they have a habit of mis-stating the date they receive your file. Ecas shows they received my file 2 weeks earlier than they stated on my AOR, but yours cuts the cake, 2 months?! And on top of that they want you to wait another 6 months to hear something ???

Honestly I think you will hear something soon though, congratulations on finally getting your clearance. On your ecas does it show a Canadian address as your residential address? I just noticed they had a Caribbean address as mailing and Canadian as residential, but I never put that on my forms.

Hey peeps hope everyone is having a great weekend I have a question do your parents have to sign or write anything in your sponsorship package?
I have decided to not even think about the wait times and plan mysef around CIC because from whatI've been noticing they only send you frivolous letters to deter you thus extending your wait times or taking forever to respond or not even looking at your package on time. They claim to encourage family unification but all they do is drag out the process. While I understand they must be careful a there are some who abuse this law but when there are couples clearly and genuinely in lve they make it ever so hard for them tsk tsk tsk. I apologize for those who have to wait forever could only imagine their pain (my turn would soon come I'm sure.)

Anyways all have a good one and hope to get more updates and more approvals

Hey Trini & Champion D, i've never lived in Canada before. I only did short visits. Only last month I was able to see my address on E-CAS. Moreover, it's indeed a standard letter I was sent. What the visa officer did was a short cut. He/ she didn't even customize it or apologize for the delay.

For some, this process has been so smooth and for others including myself, it's been never ending. I will be sending some more complaints via email. CHC POS tends to respond to those. I'll also talk to Hubby into contacting his good for nothing MP again.

Initially, I didn't care about this process at all. I figured 9 months tops but CHC POS took the cake. Inaccurate info....barely any correspondence...Extremely long processing times or no processing at all. Then down to the last minute they contact you stating this has to be done before this date and that. Like seriously, what the heck are they doing in there? I'm so over it though! Smh

I just logged on to E-CAS and they updated everything....They now show a Canadian address section but mines is blank. It's no longer showing my correct current address so I will have to call POS first thing tomorrow so that they can change it to the correct one. It was correct the first time. Seems like someone's busy updating unnecessary info.

Anyways, it's my hubby's birthday today...Hopefully it's the last one we spend apart.

Umm, the ecas residential to Canadian is not normal and I doubt it has anything to do with having lived in Canada, a new thing they are adding perhaps? I would love for it to mean they are working on my file and it will be completed soon, God willing it is! I have not been in this process a very long time but it does not change the fact that I am separated from my love. I hope we all hear something soon

Yes but they changed my correct mailing address to the old one. I am about to send a CSE to them in regards to this.

Hey Admirable,

It may a glitch in ECAS. Alot of forum members in other threads r experiencing the same thing and it seems to be a worldwide thing especially with the Buffalo applicants/

Hey just noticed something. At the end of January they are supposed to update the processing times for the different visa offices on the CIC website. They are going to be reflective of the period ending Dec 31st 2011! So it looks like POS was really completing all those files to bolster their timelines!!!!!!!

Trini you're riight. I believe this is done every 3 months.

Saka, when I send them my add'l docs, they'll see my current addy. After all, they did send the AOR to the correct one.

Hubby & I have decided to submit add'l supporting docs like text msgs, cards, pics etc to POS to show that we are in a legit marriage. The only thing is that yesterday he went to Jamaica to visit his mom for 3 weeks. Now I gotta wait on him to get back to Canada to send his trip records etc to me.

I plan on sending my clearance in close to the end of Feb with the other docs. Goshhhh! Im wondering, should I even redo meds simultaneously???

I think it is a good idea if you did not have a lot of proof originally. Honeybird submitted additional docs and she got PPR like 2 mths later. I might not hurt to add to medicals in with the additional stuff, you know will need to re-do it anyway, plus the timeline says 15mths currently so your meds will be valid till then at least.
