Hi everyone, my friend applied for PR in December 2019... they are requested for police report. Her husband lived in UAE but she didn't. But the letter request came for both. The whole family is in canada. Does IRCC send letter to who ever is in application??

Yes, When you apply to become a permanent resident or a Canadian citizen, you and your family members 18 years and above must include a police certificate. Police certificates are different in each country and territory. They may be called:
police clearance certificates, good conduct certificates, judicial record extracts or other names.

She read the mail again. And she was requested pcc from her home country Pakistan. Right now the area where she lives that particular police station is closed. She is bit panicked and scared.

If she is unable to get a police certificate from her country, she is responsible to show why she can’t get one.

To prove that she can’t get a police certificate, she must show proof that she requested a police certificate from the correct authorities and write a letter explaining all the efforts she have taken to get one

Yes, she is still trying to get one, she has 20 days to provide one.. i hope condition gets better.
If by any chance she couldn't get one, what kind of letter and proof can she provide.
