Hi again guys, i have a question:

I live in US for past 9 years, never left the country, got my FBI PCC done, but i'm originally from Ukraine and wondering if i have to do PCC from Ukraine as well since it has been long time since i left ?
Does it have to be translated notarized etc ? Thanks

if you have a continous stay of more than six months then CIC requires a PCC.
Temporal limit is last 10 years or since birth if you are 18 years.

I was in Singapore in year 2000 to 2001 total of 10 months. Does I need to have the PCC from Singapore, provided I receive the ITA in 2016 or 2017.

Thank you,
Pawshi

The CIC page is clear:

Who needs a police certificate?
In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate. You must get one from each country or territory where you have spent six or more months since the age of 18.

...

If your certificate is in a language other than English or French, send it when you apply, along with the original copy of a translation done by a certified translator.

So this temporal limit of 10 years is not applicable. Isn't it?

That used to be the case, but they've since changed the rule to all countries you've been to at aged 18 and over for a cumulative period of 6 months. So, follow the new rule.

From what I know, Singapore only issues PCCs to non-citizens with a written request, so you have to wait until you get your ITA.
