Hello Everyone,

I really need your help regarding a major confusion I have about police clearance certificates.

My travel history:

Relocated to Singapore (2001 to 2005) from India (Home Country)
Age during these years: 8 to 12 years (MINOR)
Duration of Stay: 3 years 7 months
Mentioned in Travel History: NO (Since this was done way before the required 10 years travel history)

Holiday Trip to Malaysia (2004) while residing in Singapore
Age during travel (11/12 years- MINOR)
Duration of Stay: 3 days
Mentioned in Travel History: NO (Since this was also done way before 10 years travel history)
PCC Needed: NO

Visited Iran (2011) with a 1 day transit visa to Dubai, UAE
Age during this travel: 17 years
Duration of Stay: 15 days
Mentioned in Travel History: YES (in last 10 years)
PCC Needed for Iran and Dubai: NO

Visited Shanghai, China (2016)
Age during travel: 22 years
Duration: 9 days
Mentioned in Travel History: YES
PCC Needed: NO

I understand that there is no need for PCC if the duration of stay in total was below 6 months which is the case of my visits to Shanghai, Malaysia, Iran and Dubai. I also understand that there is no need to mention the travel history of years done way before the required 10 years (Singapore, Malaysia). However, can anyone please clarify IF i need PCC from Singapore. I was a minor during that time and also this travel was done 10 years+. Do i still need a PCC from Singapore (because i lived more than 6 months)

Please help me out.

Regards
Ashutosh

PCC is only required since you attained major (18 years) age. Anything before that whether more than 6 months or less can be ignored.

Thank you so much for the clarification. It is a bit weird that CIC does not mention this clearly in the completeness check list while it does mention this in the detailed information page on Police clearance certificate.
