I come from China, my passport doesn't even show my address at all. CIC has to deal with people from diff countries. So I guess you don't need to worry too much about the address on your passport. Just get the police check for where you have been for over 6 months. get it notarized.

I have applied for PCC from the US (FBI ) since mid November. It is mentioned on their site that it takes 12-14 weeks for their response , but I was wondering , if there is a way to check that my application is still in process, since I have nt received anything from them since then

Good. When you apply for UK PCC, make sure you opt for premium service. You will get UK PCC delivered within 3 to 4 working days from the day you apply.

It's okay since you have not yet received ITA now. Of course, if you would have already received ITA, then opting for premium service would be a sensible thing to do. You can afford the luxury to wait for 15 days since now you have 90 days after ITA to submit e-APR.

Hello Members,

My passport has my permanent address say X and i got it from PSK of Y city, as X does not have a PSK center.
Now my current address is Z and ofcourse my passport does not have details of Z address on it. All these cities are in the same state in India.

Where should I get PCC from Y or Z?

I hear from other folks, that for getting PCC the current address has be to mentioned in the passport, it this true? Does this mean that I will have to get my passport renewed with current address.

Also is it required to get PCC from PSK only or it can be availed from Police Station also.

Please advice for the above query.

Have you received ITA already??
If the new rules apply, then you might have to get your passport renewed and then apply for PCC from PSK. It does not matter to IRCC from which PSK you obtain your PCC. If travelling is not a problem, then better to get PCC done from PSK which falls under your address mentioned in the passport. Else, renew your passport which will take another 7 to 10 days additionally for normal service. For tatkal, you can get it within 3 days.

I have requested for my PCC from the UK so I can submit my ITA in February but If I have to go to the UK sometime later in the year after I have submitted my ITA, does that make my PCC invalid?

Do you think I will have to write to PCC about my later travels? Please help me out here.

Once you submit your e-APR with all the relevant documents, then you can travel freely to any country without needing a new PCC.

(so it's been less than 6 months for the certificate itself)

Do you think she needs a new one? Or the current one is fine.

yes you need a new one . they valid for upto ONE YEAR .
