My wife is a US citizen applying in-land, but she has also lived in New Zealand for more than six months while going to university; we received our AOR on April 24, 2013 so our turn is coming up sometime soon, but I am wondering if it's advisable to do the police checks now and get a head start. I know this should be fine for the US, but since the NZ checks are done through CIC, would this be alright to request now?
