Hi all,
I (Canadian) will be sponsoring my partner (Australian) for residency and have come across the following problem. Previously she lived in Cambodia for 5 years and our problem relates to how to get a police check for this perio. The passport that she had at the time, with all of her VISA's, was destroyed in a fire. Furthermore she has no contacts in the country anymore to help us get a police check done.
I have read a bit about people who have gotten exemptions for the Police Check but I haven't found any concrete examples of what was supplied to CIC regarding documentation to achieve the exemption.
Does anybody have any insights?
Thanks,
