Hello!

I am starting to apply for PR and the CIC website states that I have to send in police certificates for each country I have lived in for 6 months or more since I was 18.
I was born in South Africa and left there when I was 21 to move to England. Then I moved to Vancouver from England in 2014 with a work permit. I got a police certificate last year from England as I needed one to re-apply for my work permit so it's about 1 year old.

So, my questions are;
A: Do I need to apply for another police certificate from the UK even though I haven't been back there since 2014, as I have one from last year? It says they shouldn't be older than 6 months but it also says that you have to send one in after you have lived in that country and I haven't lived there for 2 years.

B: Should I apply for a police certificate from South Africa even though I haven't lived there since I was 21 (I'm now 31)? I know I probably have to and have kind of started the process already, but hoping to get confirmation/opinions from others.

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thank you! :D

You should be able to use the UK PCC as you have not lived there since you obtained it.

Yes, you need the South African PCC.
