Police certificates for any other country

Hello all
I want to apply for EE, I am now in my home country and i will travel to Canada next May, I read in CIC website that "For any other country, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row."
i will apply for EE just when i arrive to Canada,I want to ask about Police certificate

1-Can i get my home country Police certificate before travelling to Canada? Or i must get it while iam in Canada?
2-If my wife will not apply with me in EE, she must get also a Police certificate?

1- Get it once you move to Canada.
2- Yes she is still required to provide police certificates and medicals.
