hi there,

i have asked this question on my whatsapp group and searched this forum but am wanting clarification. i am an american citizen living in mexico and applying for PR to canada. i am currently traveling with our daughter visiting family in the states. i wrote to CIC explaining that getting my medical/biometrics/police certificate is much easier and less costly for us to do while I'm here (in the states) rather than from where i live in mexico and requested (if possible) to be sent those requests in time for me to complete them before our return (to mexico). i received the police request shortly after but the instructions were "if you live in mexico" or "if you live outside mexico" and i followed the instructions for "if you live outside mexico" even though i do live there but am currently not there - because thats the instructions they sent in response to my email explanation (does that make sense?). I am guessing it's ok? does anyone have any experience with this and/or any opinions? i have sent the paperwork to the canadian embassy in mexico city and am awaiting their receipt and confirmation. it is my understanding that they will obtain the certificate for me and forward it to the CIC on my behalf....
