Hey guys,

So I've officially started the process by sending my transcript to WES this morning and also applying to take the IELTS test on the first week of next month (earliest one I could get)

While I was doing some reading about documentation after you received an ITA, I came across the whole Police Certificate documentation needed which had me wondering whether or not I should go ahead and try to get it as well. I moved to the US the same year I turned 18. Based on what I've read so far, I will need to reach out to the FBI to get my PCC and not from my home country, is that correct? I've also read somewhere that it could take up to 60+ days to get it. If that is true, doesn't it make sense that I try and get it now or is it way too early?

Any thoughts or advices are much appreciated.

Thank you.

You need to get a PCC for any country you've resided in for 6 months or more. If you are still in the US, the PCC is only valid for 6 months after it is issued. I wouldn't order it just yet. You have 90 days to submit your application once you get the ITA, and if you haven't received it by then you can always submit proof you have it ordered and CIC will work with you.
