Police Certificate from a country lived before

Hi All,

I hope I could find some help here. I have a police certificate issued from a country I lived before I left the country. However it is several years ago. I haven't been back to the country again. Would the Canadian Immigration office accept that police certificate plus the one I get now from where I live?

It would save a lot of time if the other one from a couple of years ago would work. Does anyone have similar experience and can share some insights?

All certificates must be no older than 3 months before date on which your application was received in CIC Sydney.
