Police Certificate Delays

Hi all, my partner is German, living in the UK and previously lived in New Zealand.

On filling out the application she requested a UK police certificate. It didn't arrive in time and she was given an extension and informed that she needed to provide a Police Certificate for Germany and New Zealand too.

In addition the German Police Certificate would need to be translated. The extension was for four weeks.

The New Zealand Police force have been useless and not provided anything despite being requested to do so and acknowledging that they would. The German's have also faffed about being useless before finally providing the certificate.

Unfortunately the 4wks has passed, the UK police certificate was submitted, she wrote and submitted a letter outlining how she has requested the German and New Zealand documents, and that they are on the way.

Does anyone know if she is likely to have another extension or what will happen next?

Ah, hard to say. She will probably have time to submit and she should to so ASAP. As long as she does before a decision has been made to reject as incomplete, then they will be accepted.

You may not think this is fair, but your application should have included all of those up front. The only way IRCC can keep processing times down is to reject the incomplete applications. If your file is rejected, you can certainly re-apply - with all the PCCs.

Rules on the IRCC website -
"be between the ages of 18 and 35 (inclusive)"

"Note: As a German citizen you may participate in IEC twice. You must choose a different category each time."

Meaning, if she participated in the Working Holiday program already, she is only eligible now for the Young Professional or International Internship program, etc.
