Police Certificate @ BLS CANADA - Help needed

Hi There ,

I need some advice and help regarding applying the Police Certificate through BLS Canada - Toronto.

I went on to their site and looked at the forms and checklist and I have few concerns.

1: Do we need to send the original Passport to them or just the copies of each page of the passport ?

2: Proof of work status in Canada: Valid PR Card or Work Permit or Study permit (This should be valid for at least 6 months) - I have only 3 more months eft on my Work Permit can I still apply for Police Certificate.

3: Fees ?

How much do we need to pay to get the certificate mailed back to us and how do we pay it ?

I went through the site but the info given there is not clear.


Can some one please help me in this regard

I've had to get the PCC from BLS Canada twice now. Both times I received my Passport within 3 weeks.

But in my case I have only 3 months left on my work permit, can I still apply ?

Yes you can. I had done mine with 2 months remaining on my WP.

I got my pcc in 10 days.

Original passport is required, and copy of work permit is sufficient.

Original passport is required, and copy of work permit is sufficient.

I called BLS and they said they require original copy of work permit or notarized.
As I mentioned earlier, don't just follow the check list. Call them before you send your application.
They need more photos than what check list says and some other form which is not mentioned on the checklist.

They will take passport and original WP. As for photos, the centre I went had the facility to take photos which they print and give you immediately.
