Hi guys,
I've received an invitation today and filled out the application, however I have 2 questions:
- Police Certificates
When I reached the page to upload the documents, i have "Police Certificates (Multiple) (required)" indicated, however, I have been residing in Canada since I was 17 and haven't been outside of Canada for more than 6 months. Why/what do I need to upload here? Explanation letter explaining it?
- Proof of Funds
I am currently employed full-time yet they are still asking proof of funds. My understanding was that people employed full time do not need to show proof of funds. Another explanation letter?

Thanks guys in advance.

The term 'Multiple' is generic in nature. It is intended for applicants who have been living in another country (apart from Canada) for 6 months or more. In this case the applicant needs a PCC for each case where the 6 years or more condition is satisfied.

What category were you invited under? CEC candidates do not need to show 'Proof of Funds'. FSW candidates do need to meet this requirement.

Thanks guys in advance.

Thank you for clarifying 'multiple'. However, I haven't lived in any country for longer than 6 months after I turned 18. The only country I've lived is Canada - I have traveled around, but never stayed more than a month.

I was invited under CEC, so no idea why they are asking about the funds :( :( :(

Did you enter any money in 'how much money will you bring to Canada' question? If yes this is the reason why. You should have put '0' in the funds section. To be safe if you can legitimately show that the funds you entered you would bring to Canada when creating your profile are indeed 'your funds' (not borrowed funds) this is the way to go.

Out of interest, the FSW amount for 1 person is $12,164 CAD.

Thanks! I already found it on the forum and changed to 0 and the proof of funds requirement disappeared. Thanks a bunch!

The police certificates requirement is still there though. I'm guessing my best option would be to submit an explanation letter? Ugh I don't know what to do.

No thinking required. Submit an LOE. You're being honest and you can justify any question or questions they may have. This one is any easy open and shut case.

Thanks a lot! That's what I will do
